Thursday evening and I’m here at NAIT waiting for my 8:00pm class to start.
After the show at Woolly Bully’s a sea of uncertainty has made it’s way to my week. Not all of it is bad, but perhaps changes for a more prolific future inside and outside this band I love so much.
All the drum tracks have been recorded last Tuesday for our first demo, which I hope will be released in the next couple of days or weeks (I’m on finals, and the time I can work on polishing the tracks is quite limited), and it couldn’t be possible without the support of all the lovely people who keep coming to our shows. Who are the Mystery Ponies? We (the band), and all of you who care for us and have shown your love in some way or the other. You keep this machine running.
Did anybody see or find a cellphone charger at Woolly Bully’s? Well, I left mine there last Saturday at the show, and now that my cellphone died I have no way to communicate with anybody. Does anybody have an extra one you would like to sell? My cellphone is a Samsung m500 (about 5 years old, I refuse to buy a new cellphone until this one craps out completely) . If you found mine, or have an extra one kicking around and want to sell it to me I would really appreciate it.
I’m in a river song mood, so I’m going to leave you some songs worth listening to:
River Playlist:
1- Moon River – Audry Hepburn
2- By This River – Brian Eno
3- Ol’ Man River – The Beach Boys
4- Down By The River – Neil Young
Love,
Pepe

Last Saturday was the first YegSwap organized by the good people of theĀ League of Extraordinary Media at the great venue of The Artery .
It was a pleasure to go through people’s treasures while drinking a fine Jamaican beer (something I do once a year when I take a break from local beer), get to know awesome people (like Britney Leblanc, and many others) , hang out with friends, catch up with great people I only get to see once or twice a month (like the only person who reads this blog: Jeff Samsonow) and share a stage with very talented people like Lyra Brown, my mates from the Mystery Ponies, and an iPod.
I can’t wait for the next event organized by the Edmonton’s LOEM. They seem to attract the coolest crowd.
For me, the highlight of the night was going back to Mr. Hamilton’s place. Andrew, Justin and I at our best mood, listening to great tunes and making fun of someone across the street having sex with the curtains right open.
Apologies to the pizza delivery guy for giving him the wrong phone number, and ordering under the name: Jean-Luc Picard.
Shiny chrome,
Pepe

Show tonight at Ceili’s Irish pub. You would think I should be practicing all day, but instead I’m swamped with homework and trying to finish it before 2:00pm. (and blogging, because that helps to finish my homework, right?).
For some reason I felt like opening my A Clockwork Orange book today. I read it four years ago, and I haven’t opened it since then. I found a Library receipt in it with a mysterious phone number written on the back. It’s been bothering all morning. Whose phone number would it be? Should I call it? If I do, what should I say?
I remember meeting a few people at the library way back then, but for some reason I can’t remember whose phone number that is. Ugh!
